Hurling and Camogie Club

G.A.A. Rounders was initially started as a healthy club activity in 2019 with the intention of encouraging parents to participate. We played a few friendly games and entered into a couple of novice tournaments in Tymon Park. In 2020 we decided to enter an adult mixed team into the G.A.A. Rounders intermediate grade All-Ireland competition and introduced our underage teams to the game when training sessions were restricted due to COVID-19. In 2021 we entered 2 adult teams into the All-Ireland Mixed and Men’s tournament. We also entered the the Junior One Day All-Ireland Blitz and came runners up in the Mixed event. We also work with other clubs in Dublin via the Dublin G.A.A. Health & Well-being Committee and have created a Dublin Social Rounders League.

In 2021 we entered the Under 12 boys and girls All-Ireland tournaments which was a great experience. Our girls had a very impressive debut reaching the final, only to be narrowly beaten in the final innings by the experienced Clonbroney side of Longford after a marathon final. New members are welcome and you don’t have to play hurling, or camogie if you join.
