Junior 3 Camogie Championship
Final score Kevins 3-15, Lucan Sarsfields 5-5
After their opening round defeat our Junior 3 ladies had a nervous to their second round game, but came from 7 points down early in the second half to finish out by 4 point winners.
The girls were absolutely superb in the 2nd half rattling off 2-9 while keeping Lucan to 2-1. Leading by example at full back was Mary Kinane who cleared everything and everyone out of her way to ensure she was able to enjoy her birthday cake after the match. In a brief post match interview Mary declared that she loves a bit of cake and would often buy a cake on the way home from training after a hard session, so she was delighted with the surprise at the end of the game.
