Well done to all the mentors and players who took part in the Summer Sessions over the month of July. We had regular attendances of circa 40 kids every Wednesday and Saturday in Loreto College and Dolphin Park. Our Under 13 hurlers also returned to training this morning!
Our Under 11s finished their Summer Sessions with a short trip out to Lucan Sarsfields to take part in an 11 aside blitz. It was a fabulous day out in Lucan where the boys played 5 short 11 aside games. First up were Ballinakill from Laois in what can only be described as a ding dong game with some excellent play from both sides. This ended is a 1 point loss for Kevins. Kevins then disposed of their Dublin opponents St Brigids and St Judes and ended the blitz with a win over of Edenderry of Offaly. All games were played with high levels of enthusiasm and skill which was enabled by very good referees on the day. Many thanks to Lucan Sarsfields for the invite and for such a well run event. Well done to mentors Anto, Tony and Dave for bringing the boys out!
If you haven’t gone away on your summer holidays yet! Don’t forget our adult hurlers are also in championship action tomorrow. Pop up and support the boys.
