Rounders Update

Under 12 Rounders is back from this Friday for 4 weeks (and will be extended subject to demand). The first session will be @ 6.30pm for 1 hour on the Astro pitch. Boys and girls born in 2012, 2013 and 2014 are very welcome. You don’t have to be a hurler or camóg to sign up so existing (or past) members can bring a friend.

Our adult novice and junior sessions will also start back this Friday @ 7.30 pm on the Astro straight after the Under 12s session. This is aimed at parents, mentors, non-playing members, or retired hurlers / camogs  who would like to stay active. All are welcome to join in, including players who haven’t been able to commit to the senior squads in 2024 or fancy trying their hand at the game to see if they want to get up to speed on the rules, skills and tactics of the game. We have also entered a second Junior / Novice side into the GAA Rounders competitions this year to get some game time against other clubs for those who have a competitive streak. The likely dates for games will be Sunday the 16th June, 7th and 14th July.

We have 2 teams currently competing at Senior All-Ireland level and despite losses to Breaffy (Mayo) over the week-end, both our Mixed and Ladies team remain in the hunt for a semi-final spot. Our Senior Mixed team currently sit in 3rd spot with a strong chance of qualifying for the semi-finals depending on how their remaining games go. You can click here for more information on Senior Mixed fixtures, results and tables. Our Senior Ladies are in their first year in the senior ranks and despite not picking up any wins to date, they have performed well in their games and shown they can compete. However, they must win their remaining 2 games in order to qualify for the knock-out stages. You can click here for more information on Senior Mixed fixtures, results and tables. Both squads have 2 games remaining against Erne Eagles (Cavan) on Sunday 9th June and Glynn Barntown (Wexford) on Sunday July 7th. Time and venue to be confirmed, but both games are at home in Dublin!

We have also teamed up with McKeever to create an online shop for Kevin’s Rounders apparel for all Rounders players and supporters. It includes the official playing gear and some casual wear options. Gear is available for all age groups! Click here to check out the options and to order. Please note that the portal will close on the 23rd June!

If you would like more information on Rounders in the club, or would like to sign up you can email pro.kevins.dublin@gaa.ie.
